There are four main island groups to explore along the southern shore of Cuba, the largest island in the Caribbean. Your sailing area from our new Trinidad base incorporates the Canarreos archipelago and the city of Cienfuegos. Trinidad Base Home to our new base, Trinidad is an ancient city steeped in history, with plenty of places to go and museums to visit. Playa Ancón Close to the Sunsail Base, Ancón beach is a beautiful stop, with pure white sands and clear turquoise waters. The fishing village of La Boca, approximately 6 km south of Trinidad, is well worth a visit. Cayo Guano del Este To the east of Cayo Largo lies this almost deserted island, which is less than one mile long and one mile wide. This is the ultimate escape - get away from the crowds as you laze under coconut palms and snorkel over coral reefs close by. Cayo Largo This stunning island situated in the south eastern part of the Canarreos archipelago, has many sandy beaches where you can let your cares slowly fade away. Visit Playa Sirena, a large beach situated on the western side of Cayo Largo. Protected by the wind, its palm-fringed shoreline is popular with tourists. Cayo Rosario A beautiful location where inviting coral seabeds are teeming with fish in transparent waters. Cayo Largo This stunning island situated in the south eastern part of the Canarreos archipelago, has many sandy beaches where you can let your cares slowly fade away. Cienfuegos, Cuba One of Cuba’s largest and most prospering cities, Cienfuegos on the main island has a commercial harbour with a tourist marina very close to the French-style centre. Filled with entertainment and eateries, the city is a hub of activity for shopping or just soaking up the Cuban culture. Guajimico River Canal de las Mulatas A good yachting location and another opportunity to take advantage of the clear waters and explore the marine life by snorkelling.
